Welcome to another Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop where everyone features projects made with the same stamp set. Today we are showing you what you can make with the Wondrous Wreath stamp set (yes it is still available!).
Note: The hop officially begins on Monday, February 16th but we post early to make sure everything is running smoothly. Until then you may experience some broken links. Don't give up though!
If you arrived from the talented Linda Callahan's blog, then you are where you should be. If this is your first stop - that is good too - just follow the links and you will go full circle and end up back here.
You may remember Wondrous Wreath stamp set and its coordinating frame lit from the Holiday catalog. I never ordered it until a few weeks ago so today's card is my one and only project that I have ever made with this set. I love white on white so that was the idea I had swirling around in my head.
White on white is difficult to photograph so I hope you get the idea.
To achieve the look I was going for I used Vellum card stock for my wreath, butterflies, sentiment, and background layer.
This photopolymer wreath is 3 stamps, all layered on each other.
Tip: Through trial and error, I stamped the berries first and heat embossed them. Then I stamped the main wreath image and embossed that. I skipped the middle stamp. I found this method allowed for more definition of berries and leaves.
I stamped and embossed everything with Whisper White craft ink and embossed with White Embossing powder. The sentiment reads "with sympathy" which shows up well in real life but not so much in the photograph.
Some white Baker's Twine and Pearls were added to give the card a little bit of embellishment but if you didn't wanted to add them, I think it would be fine without it because the embossed vellum is pretty.
The next stop on the Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop is the blog belonging to another talented stamper, Wendy Weixler. You can get there by clicking on her name or the "Next Blog" photo below. Enjoy!
