Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary challenge! This week's sketch challenge is a perfect way to use up some paper scraps - or create some - whichever you prefer. :)
For my card, I chose to go with a Christmas card.
Yes, I did use some paper scraps but I also used some Washi Tape and stamped card stock. Because I wanted the banners to be consistent I first layered the Washi Tape on card stock and then trimmed it. That way I could position it the way I wanted it without fear of waste. This is also a great way to use Washi Tape when layering on dark card stock or patterned paper.
My embellishment is a combination of a punched piece of Silver Glimmer paper, a die cut snowflake from the new Festive Flurry stamp set and one of the beautiful Frosted Finishes embellishments found in the Holiday catalog. This card is definitely an extra postage kind of card but so worth it!
