CCMC265 maple leaves

Hello my stamping friends!

Welcome to another challenge week at Create with Connie and Mary. I had so much fun creating this week's card - then almost didn't use it. I will explain after next week's challenge.

Here is the sketch. Isn't it a great sketch??

This is my card that I happen to love. It is so me.
I used the Woodgrain embossing folder for the background. To create the look I first added ink to the folder and then ran it through the Big Shot. Some Gorgeous Grunge splatters, some distressing and some sponged ink finished it off.

Next I added my layers of paper from the Sweater Weather dsp (holiday catalog). They also have some splatters done with Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.

Finally I created my sentiment and focal image of leaves. The leaves are stamped with the single stamp, Magnificent Maple. I added some extra color to the stamp with markers. Then I cut out the leaves, sponged them, and added them to some Burlap Ribbon that I cut and frayed. LOVE that ribbon for autumn! The strands of burlap were used also. And finally I added a button to anchor everything.

You have just got to try this sketch! There are so many possibilities! And wait till you see what the rest of the Create with Connie and Mary design team created! Just click Here.

So creative! Love how several of you showed the Magnificent Maple...but they all look different. A testament to great stampers!

Love the white layer! That might be a go-to once the birch paper from the Thanksgiving kit retires.
