After 2 serious cards, and with it being such a serious day today, I thought you might like to see something 3-D and fun.
I like to have a little handmade something at each place setting at holiday dinners. It's fun for me to make, and fun for my guests. This year, Easter dinner will be just the 2 of us. Our girls are going to Pennsylvania and will be spending Easter weekend with my mother and brother, sister-in-law, and the 5 (maybe 6 by then) children. I know they are hoping the baby will be born while they are there. :) And because Easter is a Sunday, David will be exhausted so no random guests for us.
Anyway, even though it is just David and me at dinner, I still wanted to make something. I took my idea for This Project and made:
A Lamb Treat Holder
and a Chick Treat Holder
These are so easy to make. The only tip would be make sure they are wide enough at the bottom to hold your candy. I made the mistake of adhering the 2 bottom flaps a little to close and my candy didn't fit. So I just gently pulled them apart and reattached them!
My only dilemma was trying to make the lamb look masculine (he will be David's) and I don't think a blue bow is going to fly. Any suggestions are welcome.
