Field Flowers Feminine Birthday

Well, I have been on vacation for a week but I am back now. We were able to get away to some sunshine, warm (hot) weather and the beach! Best of all, our daughters flew down and joined us so we all spent a week together and had a relaxing time. It was fabulous!

Even though I am back, I haven't been able to find time to stamp. In the meantime, I thought I could show you some of my swaps that I made for a recent Stampin Addicts birthday swap.

Each swap card was designated for a particular category such as girl, boy, feminine, masculine or general. This particular card was my feminine birthday card swap. There is an overlay of Vellum Cardstock on the focal image which gives it a softer look.

Before I stamped the flower, I die cut the cardstock and vellum cardstock with with Labels Framelit. I find it easier to cut first, stamp second. To attach the vellum to the cardstock, I added a little bit of adhesive to the vellum where I knew the sentiment would cover it. Also, the brads keep it firmly in place as well. It is so worth the extra effort!

Stamps: Field Flowers, Petite Pairs
Paper: Elegant Eggplant from the Regals Collection pack
Cardstock: Vellum, Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder
Other: Big Shot, Labels Framelits, Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, Brads, oval punch, scallop oval punch, Eyelet Border punch

Thanks for stopping by,
