I LOVE the stamp set that I am featuring! It is called Creative Elements and can be used for so many things, and in so many ways. Here are just a few:
1. Vintage/Shabby Chic Card

New products used:
- Creative Elements stamp set
- Calypso Coral In Color - ink and cardstock
- Designer Frame textured impressions embossing folder
Other supplies: Vanilla craft ink and cardstock, Crumb Cake ink and cardstock, First Edition dsp, oval punch, corner rounder punch, itty bitty shapes punch, dotted scallop ribbon border punch, button, basic pearls, color spritzer tool, Big Shot, dimensionals, sponge
2. Traditional card - reminds me of a garden fence!

New products used:
- Creative Elements stamp set
- Wisteria Wonder In Color ink
- So Saffron Taffeta Ribbon
- Stripes textured impressions embossing folder
Other supplies: Fabulous Phrases stamp set, So Saffron and Whisper White cardstock, Scallop Edge Punch, Big Shot, sponge
3. Book/Box - made with an actual book!
Close up of the top of the book/box.

Book/box opened to reveal Matchbox compartments!
New products used:
- Creative Elements stamp set
- Mocha Morning Specialty dsp - the paper on the top of the box is flocked - gorgeous paper!!
- Designer Frames textured impressions embossing folder
Other Supplies: Crumb Cake ink and cardstock, Black Stazon ink, Antique Brads, Vintage Trinkets, Scallop Oval Punch, Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon, Twine, Basic Pearls, sponge, dimensionals, Big Shot, Matchbox bigz die, various items in the compartments
I took an old book (I work in a library where discarded books abound!) and removed the cover, keeping it intact. Then I painted the cover front and back with Black acrylic paint. I let it dry thoroughly and added the designer paper inside and outside. Next I adhered 4 matchboxes to each other and wrapped them with more Mocha Morning Specialty paper.
I really appreciate you stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my projects! If you have time, please leave a comment - I would love to hear from you. And come back again if you are so inclined!

The book idea is great--perfect way to reuse! I love the vintage card, but the traditional card made me go WOW!
Wow, that book box is really neat. Thanks for sharing
Both cards are absolutely splendid, and the book box is brilliant! Can't wait to try that!
All are beautiful! Using the cover of a discarded book and creating your own 'innards' is a wonderful idea. So much better than hollowing out a book...which I'd never attempt anyway.
Wow Lisa!! Beautiful work with this set as usual! Very inspirational as I just got this one!!! TFS!
Great job Lisa!! I really really love the purple card and the book box is just wow!!! So great and I'm flippin over that mocha morning paper, gotta gotta get me some!

LOVE that last one - wouldn't it just make the most awesome hostess gift?

I just love your vintage style. The bow on the book box is beautiful! You have so many delightful details--the little bent corners, layers and multiple textures-- lovely!!
This is fantastic, I too work at a library and see many opportunities for those old books. Rats, we just got rid of some books, we had a book sale for the last two weeks and the remainder of the books were taken to another location. Thanks for the wonderful idea, I will try it with chipboard.
OMG!! Love all these projects!! I will be featuring your box on My Crafty Picks #27 with a link back to your blog on 7-31-11. If you wish to decline please email me at trbauer@insight.com
Take care
