Sometimes I get asked the question, "where do you get your inspiration?". And the answer is that I get inspired by various things: Nature (alot), magazines, art, fabric - basically lots of things inspire me! Sometimes an idea just pops into my head. Not so with today's card.
At church this past Sunday, I couldn't help but notice the gorgeous floral arrangement on the altar. It was my kind of arrangement - very informal with lots of color and a variety of flowers and greenery.
I admit, as David preached my mind wandered a bit. So I finally sketched the arrangement on the inside of my bulletin with the intent to eventually recreate it with paper and ink! And that is my true confession. lol.
But look how that little sketch evolved into a card!
I used Baby Blossoms stamp set and created my own bouquet. The one at church had way more variety but I wanted to keep mine simple.
I also wanted a clear vase so I used my Wide Oval Punch and a Medium Window Sheet to create the "vase". You can't really see it in the photo. Bummer because it looks so cool! At first I was going to keep the vase clear but then I decided to do some water coloring beneath the vase to give the illusion of water.
And wouldn't you know it - after completing my bouquet I got a small smudge of ink on the bottom of the card. Arrrrg! So that is why the button is there. There was no way I was going to start over!
What inspires you? I'd love to hear about it!
Stamps: Baby Blossoms (Occasions Mini)
Paper: Whisper White, Certainly celery
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze
Accessories: Big Shot, Framed Tulip tief, Wide Oval Punch, Medium Window Sheet, Aquapainter, dimensionals, button, crochet thread
With fond wishes for a wonderful day.

I have created a card from just looking at a tissue box. You are so right on the best places to find an inspiration is to look around you. I love your story about finding it in Church!
I just love this card. So beautiful and the vase idea is great!
I get my inspirations from lots of places. Recently I used a color combination from a floral dress that I saw on a TV movie.
I like your button where it is. Wouldn't have even given it a thought that it was placed there as a "creative opportunity."
I, too, find my inspiration all over the place--it's now become a little joke in my family when I say how much I like something they will say "you could make a card out of it!" :-) But I also find inspiration in blogland and from talented stampers like you! This one is AMAZING! Love the bouquet and ADORE the vase. :-)
Lisa it is just beautiful. Can you tell me how you did the vase again with the window sheet? It really looks cool
beautiful card. Love all the colors of the flowers. And the vase idea is awesome! TFS txjennywren.blogspot.com
Love the true confession! It's just so hard to turn off the creativity. Totally get it. And I love your vase. It's beautiful!
Beautiful card Lisa! You did a stunning job with the flowers, and I love the vase! The water was a good idea, and the button and the bow just add to everything! VERY nice!!
Wow Lisa this is just stunning! Love how you've created the vase of flowers with the Baby Blossoms set!
Hugs, Vicky ~x~
Ahhhmmmm....I'm telling God!! hehehe This is gorgeous!! I really love how you did this. I too find inspiration in so many places, my problem is, I rarely actually get them turned into a card. I've gotten several from the fabric of clothes folks were wearing on TV
The simplicity of this is beyond gorgeous!! Who would have thought. I can feel and see God's inspiration shining from your vase. I am going to sit right down and see if I can duplicate, but I have a very hard time with flower arrangements. Thank you so much for sharing (the Lord's beauty comes from many places).
Absolutely stunning! Thank you for sharing your inspiration.
I Love your card and find it really inspiring, Lisa. :)
I find inspiration from other people's creativity, especially the new ideas like you have shared. Thank You.
Well I find my inspriation from blogs like yours, lets be honest! I love this vase of flowers, can't wait to try it!
This is just too darling! I have this set and sure wish I could master it! TFS.
