Top o' the mornin' to ya! No, I am not Irish but I do live in a state where a large population of Irish Americans lives. Think Kennedys and more.
Since it is March, and St. Patrick's Day will soon be here, I made this little pot filled with gold (candy that is)!
A few (1-3) years ago, Stampin' Up! began selling a selection of single stamps which I appreciated so much! Sometimes, especially for a holiday, you only need one stamp. Such was the case for this stamp, Lucky Shamrock. It is a single stamp found in the Occasions Mini.
This is the side view. You can see a little box that is attached to the front and back of the "pot. A Black brad holds the handle in place. You can also see how I used circle punches and dimensionals to give the shamrock stamp some height.
The ribbon: we don't sell that color of ribbon. We don't sell any green ribbon that is suitable for St. Patrick's Day so I dyed my own! The ribbon you see in the photo was originally Certainly Celery. I added some Garden Green reinker to a little bit of water and then added the ribbon. After it was thoroughly soaked I took it out and dried it. It turned a lovely soft shade of green that matches perfectly to the stamped image.
I will post directions for the Pot of Gold tomorrow. But at least today I can give you the supplies. Directions can be found by clicking HERE.
Stamps: Lucky Shamrock (Occasions Mini)
Paper: Basic Black, Garden Green, Whisper White
Ink: Garden Green and Garden Green reinker
Other: Big Shot, 3" Circle die, 1 3/4" circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, dimensionals, Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon, Black brads
Have a good one!
