In the Occasions Mini stamp set, Easter Blossoms, there is an egg image. Remember this Easter Egg tree I made? Well I was looking at this stamp the other day and thought it would make a great flower. So that is what I used to make the flower on today's card. I love it! Note: a Stamp-a-ma-jig helps alot getting correct placement!
First I cut 2 circles with the Big Shot and 2 of the new dies- one 3" and the other 3 1/2". After I stamped my "petals" on the smaller circle, I added Basic Pearls to each petal. Then I added a Vintage Flower Adornment to the center. Dimensionals popped up the smaller circle just a tad.
The ruffled ribbon is so easy and so much fun to make. Just fray the end of the Seam Binding Ribbon enough to be able to grab a few of the center threads. Pull gently on the threads moving the ruffles along until it is the way you want it to look. I tacked it down with about 5 mini glue dots in a row. The Basic Pearls are purely decorative.
I really like this card. It is so elegant! I deliberately didn't add a sentiment thinking it is more versatile that way. It could be used for just about any occasion and if I decide to add a sentiment? Well that won't be hard to add one.

Lisa what a pretty card and who would have thunk! An Egg! How very clever to think outside the box. Just love that idea. Hugs.
Lisa, You are so clever!! I never would have pictures that Easter egg as a flower, & I love it!! One question for you...I was looking at the White Blossom card and you said you heat emboss the espresso ink. Is that so that it doesn't smear when you color it?
Thanks so much! I love your blog!!!
