One of the stamps in the set, Blowing Kisses, is this sweet little vase of hearts. Yes, it is meant for Valentine's day I suppose, but I wanted to use it for a more generic card. Of course the easiest way to do this would be color choice. I chose Bashful Blue and So Saffron.
I stamped and colored the vase on Watercolor paper, then set it aside while I made the base. The base is Bashful Blue with So Saffron and Whisper White. On top of that I layered 4 squares punched with the 1 3/8" square punch and finally - the vellum layer.
First I embossed the Vellum with the Big Shot and the Framed Tulips textured impressions embossing folder. Then I flipped it over and colored the indentations with a Bashful Blue marker. After that dried I went over it again with a Bashful Blue marker. Vellum is tricky to adhere to cardstock because adhesive will show through the vellum. For this card I used a mini glue dot in each corner.
My stamped image, and all of its layers, was adhered to the top of the vellum. I like how the background of this card is soft and muted due to the vellum which makes the tiny image and the sentiment stand out. It frames it quite nicely I think!
The card, by the way, is 4 1/4" square.
Stamps: Blowing Kisses
Paper: Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Whisper White, SU Watercolor Paper, Vellum
Ink: Black Stazon, Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Crumb Cake markers
Other: Big Shot, Framed Tulips tief, Mini Glue Dot, Blender pen, 1 3/8" square punch
Happy Friday! Hope it's a good one!

Super cute Lisa. Great way to make the tiny image stand out.
Love those layers especially the way the colors of the squares are muted under the vellum. Thanks for sharing your tip about coloring embossed vellum with markers. Gonna have to try it!
Lisa, oh what a pretty card. I've embossed CS and DSP and colored the 'top' of the tulips, but the way you did the vellum is soooooo pretty. Never even thought of vellum. Beautiful
Absolutely gorgeous! I love everything about it-the colors, the image, the technique!! Thanks for sharing your creatvity.
