A Simple Box With a Simple Flower

Hi Stampers!  Today's project is a box made with the Big Shot and Box #2 Bigz die. The box itself is very simple to make and assemble. An easy way to turn it into a Classy, little box is add a sparkly embossed belly band that is embellished with a punched paper flower!
The paper flowers have been all over the internet and are made in a variety of ways, with a variety of materials. To make mine I used the Fancy Flower XL Punch and 1 1/4" circle punch. Crunching the flowers over and over breaks down the paper fibers and makes them more pliable - it's a good way to work out your aggressions!

After I made the flower, I added a large bow underneath, then attached everything to my belly band. Sticky Strip works best for this by the way. You need something that will hold it firmly in place.

This box was used as a class project so I wanted to keep it fairly simple. It can be used to hold candy, which is what we did, or perhaps a special gift. As the holiday season approaches, I am always on the lookout for packaging ideas!
