Ornaments in the Snow

Recently I was looking through a Gift Catalog and saw this card.
I loved the shadows, the depth, the colors, and the snow!
So I made my own version using Delightful Decorations and Curly Cute stamp sets!
It's all in the masking and the use of the Stamp-a-ma-jig!

First, I stamped, and masked the center ornament, and then, by using the Stamp-a-ma-jig and more masking, I stamped the other ornaments.

Tip: Use the Stamp-a-ma-jig and stamp the sentiment next, before you add dimensionals or Basic Pearls. Trust me when I say this. lol.

The sentiment, by the way, is from the stamp set, Curly Cute. I am not a Happy Holidays kind of gal. I much prefer Merry Christmas, but Seasons Greetings seem to fit this card and for me, it is less offensive than Happy Holidays can be.

Next I added a separate ornament to the center - one that was stamped, punched, sponged and raised up with dimensionals. I did this because it gives the card even more depth

Since the original card makes the ornaments look like they are resting in snow, albeit fake snow, I added a torn strip of cardstock edged with Dazzling Diamond Glitter to my card. And finally, I drew some highlights on each ornament with a Signo Gel Pen.

Stamps: Delightful Decorations and Curly Cute
Papers: White and Cherry Cobbler cardstock
Ink: Cherry Cobbler and Bravo Burgundy
Accessories: Dazzling Diamond Glitter, dimensionals, sponge, Basic Pearls, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Signo Gel Pen

Happy stamping! Thanks for looking.

Lisa what a great card and you couldn't have picked a better color. So rich. I love the details too especially the highlight on the bulbs. I always forget that!
PS: I know what you mean about the stampa-ma-jig before the embellies. Can't tell how many I had to do upside down.
Beautiful job.

This is gorgeous! I love the burgundy on the edges, really gives a lot of depth. I've got to get some of these ornament stamps and the punch!
