One Layer Cards

For some reason One Layer Cards are not very popular with Stampin' Up! stampers, or so it seems to me. I tend to go for layers myself, but sometimes I need a quick card, an easy card, and most of all a card that won't get rejected by the postal workers at my local post office!

I needed some thank you cards earlier this week,so I made several of this card. And you know, it was so much fun to use just ink and one layer of cardstock! I have made one layer cards before and find them challenging but this one came together quickly.

Just like yesterday's card, I used brown and added red for a little "pop". If you like layers this could easily be trimmed and layered onto colored cardstock. Ribbon across the top or maybe some brads could be added as well.
Stamps: Curly Cute, Aviary, and Have a Seat
Paper: Whisper White
Ink: Early Espresso and Real Red
Accessories: Stamp-a-ma-jig

Thank goodness it's Friday (even though I have to work tomorrow). Have a good one.

Lisa these thank you notes look wonderful. Love the little red birdie.
I think this is the "hardest" type for me, which makes no sense at all, but it is. I can never decide on design with one layer ??? go figure.

I love it! What a great CAS card. The birdie is a great idea on top of that bench. :-)

I agree....things don't always have to be time consuming to be classy. :) Love the card!
