If you have been following my blog you may remember this post found HERE. My brother and his family faced the loss of their beloved dog and I would like to say thank you for the comments and emails I received regarding their loss. It is obvious that, like me, many of you are dog lovers!
Well 3 weeks ago my brother and his family gave this handsome fellow a new home! Meet Luca, a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog. He was 8 weeks old when they brought him home so he is 10 weeks in this picture - a big boy!!
I haven't met him yet, but will when we stop there on our way to Ohio for Thanksgiving. I can't wait! I was not familiar with this breed but from what my brother tells me they make wonderful family dogs and Luca is proving that to be true. The children adore him and vice versa. I am so happy for them.

Isn't that dog so cute?? He will be a very big boy when he grows up. Robert Redford raises Bernese Mountain Dogs in Provo, Utah. They are very similar to these Swissies. Thanks for sharing. I LOVE animals and especially dogs.
