Using a Tag as a background layer

I have this stash of punched shapes and shapes from Big Shot dies. I poke through them every so often which is where I found the Real Red Tag from the Two Tags die. I decided to use it as a layer for my stamped image but first I scored the top then added a Jumbo eyelet and folded it down over my stamped image. So cool! I love when I can find another use for my Stampin' Up! products.

After I put everything together I felt it looked a little bare at the top so I punched some branches with my 2 Step Bird Punch. I got the idea while checking out the New Catalog Blog Hop over at Stampin Addicts. Mickey Roberts and did a wonderful job with the Aviary stamp set and I loved how she creatively used the branch.

The sketch is from Stampin Addicts. Click HERE for more details on their Sketch Challenges and if you can why not play along?! It's fun!

I hope you found inspiration today!

Darling card, I just ordered the Aviary stamp set too. I've seen so many cute cards lately and I just had to have it.

Love the different dp you used and your ribbon treatment is perfect, nicely done!
