Hoppin Down The Holiday Trail!

If you arrived from Holly's blog, InkPaperStamps you are at the right place. I know she showed you some wonderful projects and entertained you with her humor as well!
But maybe you just started the blog hop. That is ok too cause you can make a complete circle either way. Just follow the trail links!
Everyone on this hop is featuring items from the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog. I chose to show you some projects using the stamp set, Merry Crittermas cause I am such a push over for anything with animals and these stamps are adorable!

The card I made uses this darling little beaver with his stocking.
And isn't that paper perfect for a woodland setting? It is from the Candy Cane Christmas Specialty Designer Paper also found in the Holiday Mini. What makes it Special? Glitter and sparkle - just like the Glimmer Brads on the front of my card.
But the best part of this card? Open it up and a woodland holiday scene, made with lots of glittery snow, pops up!!
Stamps: Merry Crittermas
Paper: Baja Breeze, Real Red, White, Candy Cane Christmas Specialty Paper, Watercolor paper
Ink: Black Stazon, SU Markers
Accessories: 1 3/4" Circle punch, Crystal Effects, Dazzling Diamond Glitter, Sponge, dimensionals, Blender pen, 1/8" Real Red Taffeta Ribbon, Glimmer Brads

Candy canes, peppermint sticks, or in this case, chocolate covered pretzel rods fit perfectly into this versatile pouch. The adorable little squirrel stamp sets the pace for this project! And he is surrounded by some other items from the Holiday Mini such as a new 2 1/2" Circle punch, a Big Designer Button, and more of the Candy Cane Christmas Specialty paper!
Stamps: Merry Crittermas
Paper: Real Red, White, Candy Cane Christmas Specialty Paper, Watercolor paper
Ink: Black Stazon, SU markers
Accessories: 1 3/4" and 2 1/12" circle punches, XL Scallop circle punch, Scallop Trim Border punch, Large oval punch, Big Designer Button, 1/8" taffeta ribbon in white and red, Blender pen

What I love most about this Merry Crittermas stamp set is that it isn't just for the holidays! Which translates into more for your money and if you are like me, being economical is especially important these days.

Rather than make this a holiday gift, I made it into a gift that could be given any time of year! I picture this being given to someone who loves music. The adorable kitty and his book of music make a perfect tag for whatever you choose to give. For this project I used some more of the new items offered in the Holiday Mini including Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon and Glimmer Brads as well as the Decorative Label Punch which makes a great complementary tag to the Fancy Favor Box. I love how Stampin' Up! coordinates their products!
Stamps: Merry Crittermas
Paper: Early Espresso, Watercolor paper, Newsprint dsp
Ink: Black Stazon, SU markers
Accessories: Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon, Glimmer Brads, Decorative Label Punch, 1/8" Early Espresso taffeta ribbon, Big Shot, Fancy Favor Box Bigz die

Well that was fun! And now it is time for you to move on to see what fabulous projects Yapha has waiting for you over at her blog, Rubber Stamping and Card Making With Yapha.
Enjoy! And I hope you will come back and visit me again.

Pretzels...must have pretzels...oh oops..got distracted - LOL! Late night hopping does that to me - especially when food is pictured.

Gorgeous projects Lisa. That woodland scene really takes the cake (uhm...yeah food...no must concentrate...)and the music box is perfect too! I had the same thought when I saw the stamp set that several of the images could be used year round. Some even work if you omit the seasonal item the animal is holding and sub in something else instead.

Gotta grab some chocolate and get hopping on...

Thanks for sharing the wicked creativity.

Lisa, your pop-up card is one of the best I've seen!! Definitely a favorite for me. I like it when they actually make a little scene, or something that "makes sense" (if that makes sense? LOL!) rather than just a bunch of random images that pop up. Of course, those can be beautiful too, but yours is fabulous!! I noticed your box on SA as well. Love all of your projects!!
