Today's card is kinda out of the box, clean and simple, and totally random. I pulled the colors from the hostess pack of designer paper - for the simple reason that I want to use them up! The sketch, which I love, is from Stampin Addicts - at least this is my interpretation of the sketch!
This is the sketch from Stampin Addicts. To make the star, I used the Movers and Shapers Star shape. I die cut one from a thin piece of cardboard and one from Night of Navy designer paper. I adhered them together with Tombow Multi-Purpose Adhesive and sponged the edges. Then I used dimensionals to give it some height. Notice how I lined up the lines? That was planned. lol.
I wanted a button in Night of Navy so I dyed a Kraft Corduroy button with Night of Navy reinker. Works great! Then I just tied some linen thread through it and attached it to the card front.
I just realized there is no stamping involved with this card! Well I didn't do that on purpose, I just never thought to use a stamp with the sketch. A sentiment could be added so easily to this card so I guess I will just wait till I am ready to send it before I do that.
