Since the "barn door" designer paper from the 2 previous cards is now retired, I had to improvise. What to do I asked myself. I looked at the current designer paper I have, and thought of a way to get the barn door look. The paper is the striped, So Saffron paper, found in the Welcome Neighbors paper pack, a Sale-a-Bration selection. The ink is Creamy Caramel. I just opened the ink pad and swiped it lightly over and over from top to bottom until I had the look I wanted. At first I was dismayed because my craft table was apparently not clean (imagine that!) and the bumps showed up on the paper but after I was done, I liked the look!
The saying was stamped twice. I cut out the "V" and glued it onto the Hodgepodge Hardware. Gotta have metal on a guy's card so I also added some Jumbo Eyelets. Now I know this has the color pink and ribbon, all of which are girly, but all in all I really like this card. I think it is my favorite "barn door" card so far. Notice I said "So far"! LOL.

very cute - great card. I love what you did to create the barn door look.
I love how you created the "barn" look with that DSP! I'll have to keep that in mind for future reference...my DH is a Dairy Farmer! :)
VERY PRETTY! I will definitely be casing this one, loved the fall and Christmas one also.
Thanks for sharing,
